Jr. Trader Development Program

It is Hanley Group’s belief that proper training and development are vital to the firm’s success. During our recruitment process, Hanley Group strives to find individual that will flourish in our environment. These individuals have a tendency towards a math and engineering background. Once in house, our Jr. Traders participate in 2 simultaneous 8 week programs designed to enhance not only the individuals knowledge of basic trading strategy and concepts, but also the knowledge of themselves and how to best prepare themselves to become Traders. These programs, taught by our experienced traders and our Success Coach, provide the foundation for the growth of our Jr. Traders as they work towards becoming traders within a team in the firm. Along with these programs, our Jr. Traders get hands on market experience as they support our Option Traders down on the floor of the exchange. Once they are comfortable with the basics of the markets, we begin to train our Jr. Traders with our proprietary systems and expose them to the electronic side of the business, preparing them for an eventual move into one of the firm’s various trading teams.
